Wanna know why? Because they work! The ones we have at home currently suck for a few reasons: 1. they are hard to use. 2. They get dirty and stop working. These ones are the grinder variety and yes, they are shiny and silver and look good on the table I would **much rather** have the ones photographed above. Maybe my next upgrade will be a new set of salt and pepper shakers. I already have the [[Round Cork Trivets | Trivets]] so I might as well go all out and get the fancy salt and pepper shakers too. The crappy ones I have [cost about ten bucks](https://amzn.to/3U1cwkV), so it would be no loss to replace them
